May God add his blessings
To the reading of His word
And I'd invite you to stand as we read,
Together

In the power of His might,
Life in Christ -- Step one.

For our struggle
Is not against the flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities
Against the powers of this dark world,
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm.

Have you heard the gospel?
Have you heard that God loves you,
and cares for you deeply?
Have you heard,
that God breathed into you,
and made you a living soul?
That you were made in the image of God?
Have you heard?
That you have a beginning but you don't have an end?
That you have a soul that will last,
for eternity?

To wait on the Lord,
is contrary to human nature, it is contrary to the way men work.
And we take that approach, and we bring it to the Lord.
We want to do.
And the Lord is saying,
"I don't want you to do anything,
I want you to wait on me."

And it is with His own breath,
with God's own breath,
He breathed into us, and we became a living soul.

Living, according to the resurrection power of God.
The word of God is resurrection
power.
The word of God is life-giving
power.
The word of God is quickening
power.

We are to muster strength for this conflict
and to seek the strength from the right source.
We are to be strong in the Lord
A branch separated from the vine
has no life and no strength.
As a limb severed from the body,
so is a Christian who is separated from Christ.
And if we rush into conflict,
if we rush into life apart from Christ,
the end
is going to be tragic.

We must be strong for service
We must be strong for suffering,
We must be strong for fighting.
We stand upon the word of God.
We stand irremovable, unshakable, and we resist,
the way Jesus resisted.

HE is righteous,
in HIM we are declared righteous
the word became flesh, and dwelt among us
Christ is the word!
Hallelujah!
